Aura is a conceptual visual installation inspired by David Mitchell’s bold, atmospheric color fields and James Turrell’s immersive use of light and space. Drawing from Mitchell’s Perihelion palette, the project uses moody, vibrant color, typography, and simple geometric forms to create a contemplative space that explores the idea of shifting auras.

Project Overview
This project presents a contemplative visual exhibition experience centered on the concept of shifting auras through the intersection of space and art. Taking direct inspiration from the moody, vibrant color fields of David Mitchell’s Perihelion, the design leverages color, refined typography, and simple geometric shapes to structure and transform the environment.

Results
To maximize visitor reach and generate organic buzz, the exhibition leverages a dynamic visual identity anchored by a shifting logo that changes across digital and physical touchpoints, sparking curiosity before guests even enter the space. Inside, the experience transitions from passive viewing to active participation through interactive installations, encouraging visitors to document and share their journey online.
As a memorable tangible takeaway, guests receive custom translucent pins designed to react to light exposure; by shining light through them from different angles, the pins shift in color and luminance, extending the exhibit’s core theme of shifting auras into a personal, interactive keepsake long after the visit.
